# Install the CLI

Set up voloirex once, then run agents with a short command on Windows, macOS or Linux. The same installer adds the Claude and Codex skills.

## 1. Sign in and create a key

Open your [account dashboard](https://mcp.voloirex.com/account) and sign in with Google or
GitHub. Your trial starts with **5000 shared credits**, with no payment setup.

Create a key with a name and monthly credit cap. The dashboard shows the key once and
provides a complete installation command that saves it for you.

## 2. Install once

You need **Node.js 22 or later**. On Windows, install Node.js LTS with:

```powershell
winget install OpenJS.NodeJS.LTS
```

On macOS or Linux, install Node.js LTS from [nodejs.org](https://nodejs.org/).
Then run the installation command shown in your dashboard, in your local terminal.

Already have a key configured? These commands install or update the CLI without needing
to create another key.

### Windows PowerShell

```powershell
irm https://voloirex.com/install.ps1 | iex
```

### macOS / Linux

```bash
curl -fsSL https://voloirex.com/install.sh | bash
```

The installer adds the `voloirex` command and installs the **asimoX, asimoY and asimoZ
skills for Claude and Codex**. On Windows, open a new terminal if the command is not yet
recognized. On macOS/Linux, follow the printed PATH instruction if needed.

## 3. Run your first agent

These commands are the same on all three platforms:

```bash
voloirex run asimoz
voloirex run asimoy
```

Expect `Hello World, I'm asimoZ` and `Hello World, I'm asimoY`. Each run costs **1 credit**
from your shared balance. These are real hosted hello-world agents for checking your setup.

To try the architecture review workflow:

```bash
voloirex review "A web API accepts requests and dispatches background jobs." --profile C
```

**asimoX currently returns a PoC mock report**, with a 300-credit reservation and a final
50-credit fee. It does not call a model. Unused reserved credits are released.

## Resume without starting again

Every submission prints a request ID and a job ID. If you lose the connection, use the
printed resume command:

```bash
voloirex resume asimoz <job-id>
```

For all options, run `voloirex --help`.

## Which key does the CLI use?

The client checks `VOLOIREX_API_KEY`, then the legacy `ASIMOX_API_KEY`, then the key saved
by the installer. An old environment key can override a newer saved key. If an agent
rejects your key, check its scope in the dashboard and which source your terminal uses.
