# Fifty sessions asking "what now?"

Humans and machines now run at two speeds. Why chasing your own agents leads to burnout, and what to do instead.

You start the morning with a few agent sessions running. By lunch there are fifty, and every one
of them is waiting for you. Approve this draft. Send this message. Pick option A or B. Click here.

This is the quiet problem of working with agents: **humans and machines now run at two different
speeds.** The machine finishes a step in seconds and asks for the next one. You switch to it,
answer, switch back, lose the thread, and answer the next one. By the end of the day you have
made hundreds of small decisions and none of the large ones.

## The promise that does not hold

The popular story is "one team, humans and machines together". In practice it often means the
human becomes the bottleneck of a very fast machine: a full-time approver of other people's
drafts. Context switching all day is not teamwork. It is the road to burnout.

## Keep the human, change what reaches the human

The answer is not to take the person out. The person stays the point of decision. But a serious
decision needs time, and that time has to come from somewhere.

It comes from **delegating the decisions of low value and high volume.** Sorting a ticket,
choosing between two equivalent phrasings, filing a document: if an agent gets a fair share of
these wrong, nothing serious happens, and across thousands of them it saves days.

The decisions that matter are a different kind. They are never delegated, and they should reach
you **ready to take**: the options, a recommendation, the reason, and how sure the agent is.
Not raw data to interpret. Not a fiftieth notification.

## What a good agent does

- It takes the volume and makes the repetitive decisions itself.
- It measures how sure it is, instead of claiming it.
- It brings you only what matters or what it is unsure about.
- It asks what it needs once, at the start, then delivers one result.

That is what voloirex builds: agents, advice and courses that take decisions off your desk, so
that the ones left are the ones worth your time.
